2. Android app data

The Ginir Online Android app does not collect, store, or share personal data on its own. It does not use analytics SDKs, ads SDKs, or account login inside the native app. Tapping Open App (or the logo) opens ginir.online in your browser.

3. Website (ginir.online) data

When you use the website, we process information needed to run the marketplace. Depending on how you use Ginir, that may include:

• Account details — name, email or Telegram identity, phone number (for seller OTP), shop name, and profile photo when you sign in or become a seller.
• Seller verification — Fayda (Ethiopian National ID) images and related verification fields for sellers. These are used for identity checks and admin review; national ID numbers are not shown on public profiles.
• Listings & messages — product photos, descriptions, prices, location labels, buy requests, and related notifications.
• Device / usage — approximate location if you allow GPS (for seller location), and optional privacy-friendly analytics (e.g. Umami) that help us understand traffic without selling personal profiles.
• Payments for promoted listings — payment method choice and receipt images you upload for package review. We do not process card numbers inside Ginir Online.

4. Why we use data

• To provide buy/sell marketplace features in Ginir Town.
• To verify sellers and reduce fraud.
• To notify you about requests, listings, and account status.
• To improve reliability, security, and product experience.
• To comply with legal obligations where applicable.

5. Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share limited data with:

• Service providers that host our servers, databases, or delivery of push/OTP messages (e.g. Telegram for OTP when you choose that channel).
• Other users, only as needed for marketplace function (e.g. seller shop name, listing details, phone number when a buyer chooses Call Seller).
• Authorities when required by law.

6. Retention

We keep account and listing data while your account is active and as needed for safety, disputes, and legal requirements. You can request deletion of your account data by contacting us (see below).

7. Your choices

• Browse the website without signing in.
• Deny GPS permission; sellers can refresh location later if allowed.
• Sign out and stop using the service at any time.
• Contact us to correct or delete account information where practical.

8. Children

Ginir Online is intended for adults who can form contracts under Ethiopian law. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

9. Changes

We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of ginir.online or the Android app after updates means you accept the revised policy.
